English: On the banks of the mighty Krishna River, there are a set of footprints in a cave temple for Chaya Bhagavati and the biggest of them is worshipped with great rituals by the villagers. The first rays of the sun always falls on the goddess twice a year. Chaya was the wife of the sun god Surya, and as her name implies, she is a shadow of Surya's first wife, Samjana. Thereby hangs the immortal tale of the sun god Surya.
