Description
English: This is page 244 of Abel Sánchez-Aguilera's edition of Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji's (1892–1988) Piano Symphony No. 1, Tāntrik (1938–39). It is an example of his "tropical nocturne" genre, which is defined by intricate ornamental writing, extensive use of irrational rhythms, and complex, ever-changing pianistic figurations and textures.
