Description
English: Portrait of Sophia Hedwig of Brunswick-Lüneburg (1592-1642), wife of Ernest Casimir I, Count of Nassau-Dietz (1573-1632)
Nederlands: Portret van Sophie Hedwig (1592-1642) in de vorm van een kniestuk, de hertogin van Brunswijk-Wolfenbüttel is en face naar links weergegeven. Zij draagt een japon van rood gebrocheerd zijde met dito overmouwen, wit kanten manchetten en een platte kraag. Sophia Hedwig heeft een parelsnoer om de hals, parels in haar oren en in het haar. Op haar hoofd heeft zij bloemen, waaronder een rood-gele tulp. Sophia Hedwig heeft haar rechterhand op tafel, in haar linkerhand heeft zij een waaier van veren. De hertogin van Brunswijk-Wolfenbüttel staat voor een rood stoffen achtergrond.
