English: A plaque at Långa soffan (Swedish for "the Long sofa"), a wooden bench overlooking Oskarshamn harbour, Sweden. The text roughly translates to "THE LONG SOFA. The world's longest sofa is 240 feet (72 m) long. It was erected in 1867 using port treasury funds. It serviced as a good lookout point when anticipating returning sailors, especially during the Age of Sail.
