Nederlands: Collectie : Negatieven Mariniersbrigade

Titel : Op 18 november 1946 werd de ,.Soerabaja Welfare Expres" aan den Territoriaal Commandant van Oost-Java, de Gen. Maj. der Mariniers M. R. de Bruijne overgedragen. Sindsdien heeft de ,.Blauwe Expres" al heel wat ritjes gemaakt naar de Mariniers en soldaten aan het front. De trein kwam tot stand door dhr. Reichman en dhr. Baljet, resp. inspecteur en hoofdingenieur van de Staatsspoorwegen, en het spoorweg detachement der Mariniersbrigade, dat onder commando staat van den 2e Lt. der Mariniers T. Ensink. De dienst „Welfare" van de A-Divisie completeerde de cantine-wagen en verzorgde de toneeldecors. Het eerste gezelschap, dat er met den trein op uit trok, bestond uit een combinatie van burgers en militairen o.l.v. Flip van Ewijk, de uit Hilversum afkomstige „Wimpie Welfare". Daarna gingen o.m. enkele door de N.I.WA. uitgezonden cabaret-gezelschappen met dan „Soerabaja Welfare Expres" op reis, zoals dat van Benny Vreeden. Op deze foto zien we de motor-kantine- en stafwagen op het station te Wonokromo (Soerabaja).
