English: This type of plug is known officially as a "socket adapter plug" but is referred to colloquially, in Australia, as a "piggy-back plug", or in New Zealand, as a "tap-on" plug.
In Australia the plug is now available only as part of a pre-assembled extension cord, or by special order. In New Zealand rewireable PDL 940 "tap-on" plugs are more widely available. |
