The organization bought the Italianate Diemer mansion in 1918 and constructed the Slovenian National Home as a wraparound building in 1924 at a cost of $106,240. It contained two auditoriums, several meeting rooms, offices, the Slovenian National Library, and a gymnasium.
The building was named a Greater Cleveland Landmark in 1984. The Eddie Kenik annex was constructed in 1994.
