ZKM YOUniverse Island in Second Life is an Eliotesque 'Wasteland', flooded, icey globally-warmed metaverse, populated by avatar-sensing, supermodern cinemas presenting bodies of work, including young independent Afghani documentary filmmakers, Canadian word cinema from Jack Goldstein and Michael Snow, ZKM Center for Art and Media exhibition reports and educational resources, among other programmes. Visiting avatars could also enter the ZKM YOUniverse boxing Ring and trade jabs and verbal quips with the metaverse Chatterbots, depicted above in formal wear in preparation for the Second Life entry into the YOU_Ser exhibition marking the ZKM 10 Year anniversary in 2007.
