DescriptionSkirden Bridge, Bolton by Bowland - geograph.org.uk - 1376224.jpg
English: Skirden Bridge, Bolton by Bowland It seems that there is a serius flooding problem here, as there are three grey flap-valves to the left of the bridge to stop river water from flowing up Main Street. There is an access ramp on the far side which will store the surface water runoff from the village until the river level goes down. Even so, I saw some sandbags near to houses in the village.
