English: Thermodynamic diagram called a Skew-T used by meteorologist in many countries to plot soundings of temperatures and humidity versus pressure. Once plotted, the data permit to assess the (in)stability of the atmosphere and the layers of clouds and determine cap strength, convective temperature, forecasting temperatures. The vertical axis is the Pressure, the temperature isolines are the one at 45 degrees angle to the right, the curved lines are the dry adiabatic lapse rate, the dashed lines the toward the left are pseudo-adiabatic moist lapse rate and the dashed lines to the right are the mixing ratio.
