English: Austrian physicist Marietta Blau was one of the first to develop the use of nuclear (photographic) emulsion for recording the paths of atomic and sub-atomic particles. She succeeded in making the first ever observation of proton tracks in nuclear emulsion and first recording of nuclear disintegration caused by cosmic rays.
