Территория заповедника расположена на северном склоне восточной части Центрального Кавказа, на высотах 650-800-4646 м(г. Уилпата – высшая точка заповедника) на склонах параллельных, субширотно ориентированных хребтов, разделенных продольными долинами Пастбищного, Скалистого, Бокового и частично Главного Водораздельного в бассейнах рек Ардон и Фиагдон, Алагирский район, Северная Осетия
English: North Ossetian Reserve: the territory of the reserve is included in the Crimean-Caucasian country, the region of the northern slope of the Greater Caucasus, Elbrus-Kazbek (Central Caucasus) province, Vladikavkaz district, Urukh-Ardon district. The territory of the reserve is located on the northern slope of the eastern part of the Central Caucasus, at altitudes of 650-800-4646 m(g. Wilpata-the highest point of the reserve) on the slopes of parallel, sub-latitude-oriented ridges separated by longitudinal valleys of Pasture, Rocky, Lateral and partially Main Watershed in the basins of the Ardon and Fiagdon rivers, Alagirsky district, North Ossetia
