DescriptionSite of Rhaeadr Castle - geograph.org.uk - 158928.jpg
English: Site of Rhaeadr Castle Built in 1171 by the Lord Rhys, Prince of Deheubarth. Besieged, captured, lost, re-captured over the next 50 years, it was finally destroyed in 1231 by Llewellyn ab Iorwerth. All that remains of the old wooden castle are ditches on the northern and eastern sides.
