English: Image taken from the approximate location of the Up platform of the former Heanor Midland Station, facing in the direction of the line towards Crosshill & Codnor.
The station was in a cutting (accessed via steps), which was used as a landfill site for household refuse in the 1960s. The white building right of centre was part of the station. The bridge that carried Midland Road was removed after being backfilled, and the former goods yard on the other side of the bridge is now a housing estate. Image taken February 2023. |
