Summary

Description
English: View northeast towards the Durham Coast Line as it passes through the site of Easington station. The station footbridge would have crossed the tracks in the far right of the shot and the down (northbound) platform would have followed the tracks (on the near side) into the trees in the centre-left background. The up (southbound) platform was located on the far side of the tracks. In the immediate foreground, the bare ballast marks where sidings diverged from the main line towards Easington Colliery. Easington station closed on 4 May 1964.
