Description
English: Speech by Sir Daniel "Dan" Eyers Godfrey given at the Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth, on 30 September 1934, in response to a speech by Sir Hugh Allen, on the occasion of Godfrey's retirement as conductor of the Bournemouth Municipal Orchestra.

Also among these Godfrey mentions are the composer Edward German; and his successor, Richard Austin.
