Čeština: O pokladnici Pausaniás napsal: „Ostrov Sifnos vydával na světlo zlatou rudu i přikázal bůh jeho obyvatelům, aby z užitku odevzdávali desátek do Delf. Postavili tedy pokladnici a desátek
skutečně odváděli. Později však od dávky ustoupili ve své nenasytnosti a tehdy jim také zlaté doly moře zatopilo.“ Pausaniás, Cesta po Řecku II, Praha 1974, s.285.
English: "The Siphnians too made a treasury, the reason being as follows. Their island contained gold mines, and the god ordered them to pay a tithe of the revenues to Delphi. So they built the treasury, and continued to pay the tithe until greed made them omit the tribute, when the sea flooded their mines and hid them from sight."Pausanias, Description of Greece, https://www.theoi.com/Text/Pausanias10A.html
