Description
English: Silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14). Obverse: IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, Laureate, draped and cuirassed right. Reverse: RENOVAT ROMANO, Wolf and twins. Mintmark: RIC V, pt 2, no. 571. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC. The Wolf and twins reverse is the most common reverse on Carausian denarii.
