DescriptionSilver Jubilee celebrations, Twyning Green - geograph.org.uk - 954256.jpg
English: Silver Jubilee celebrations, Twyning Green Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee celebrations on Twyning Green. Traditional skittles is being played here, this is a popular game in this area of the country. Skittles is normally played in pubs and there are many teams playing in local organised leagues. I believe this was a game banned by Parliament during the Commonwealth in the 17th century which explains why it is popular in the areas which tended to support the Royalists.
