Description
English: Covered dish: Measuring 4-3/4" high and 5-1/2" in diameter at its widest point. Apothecary or food dish with cover, a tapered base, 3 horizontal openings, a flaring neck, the cover which is domed and has a hatched design around the rudimentary handle that forms a knob at the cover. a functional piece. There is original burial dirt on the object as it was found. 9th/10th century. Vessel: Measuring 3-3/4" high and 5" in diameter. Similar vessel to the other but without cover. it would have had a cover but lost. Apothecary or food dish, a tapered base, three horizontal openings, a flaring neck, a functional piece. 9th/10th century.
