Summary

Description

Siler pincushion cactus is restricted to clay soils of the Moenkopi Formation. It occurs on rolling hills and bluffs in sparsely vegetated desert shrub communities between 3,000 and 5,000 ft. in elevation. Siler Pincushion cactus is endemic to northern AZ and southwestern UT. It is listed threatened.
