DescriptionSilent Reading time in a Lao school.jpg
English: This primary school in Laos began a daily reading period in September 2013, to improve literacy skills. Even by grade 3 or 4, many children have difficulty reading a full sentence; this program marked the first time they read every day. The books were provided and the program was initiated by Big Brother Mouse, a literacy project, in cooperation with the Kasi District Department of Education.
