Ariel A. delos Reyes, Vicarial Representative: Rev. Fr. Isagani P. Aviñante District 5 District Coordinator: Rev. Fr. Agustin M. Baas [3] [4] The Church was first built by the Franciscans in 1585. Nuestra Senora de la Candelaria image was found in a mountain side in 1640 and disappeared nine times over the next few years.[5] Coordinates: 14°13'26"N 120°58'27"E Virgin of Candelaria[6] The Virgin of Candelaria or Our Lady of Candelaria (Virgen de Candelaria, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria), popularly called La Morenita, celebrates an apparition of the Virgin Mary on the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands (Spain). |
