The entire logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.

Low resolution?

The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.

Purpose of use

The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing Siena Heights University, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.

File information
Description

SHU Seal. Designed by Sister Helene O’Connor in the year 1939. It is derived from the Escutcheon of the Adrian Dominican Congregation and is based on the original Dominican Shield, centuries old. The University shield includes the wavy line across the left-side, which symbolizes the Heights – highs and lows. The open book on theleft represents the University and the pursuit of knowledge. On July 1, 1998, Siena Heights College became Siena Heights University and the seal was updated to reflect this name change.
