Summary

Description

Cotton weavers cottage Axonometric drawings. Cotton looms needed humid conditions so the size did not dry out- a sized beam was heavy so looms were placed in the basement or directly on the ground. A side loomshop added to a two-up-two down cottage as was built for cotton weavers. Examples are at Fecitt Brow, Blackburn, Brimscall Chorley, Sandhill Fold Darwen- all in Central Lancashire.

Note the long small windows in the loom shop.
