Summary

Description
English: The original six shires into which Cornwall was divided, with their earliest shire names represented in a standardised spelling. The Geld Inquest of 1084 has Cornwall divided into six parts, by the time of the Domesday Survey Twifoldshire had already been subdivided into East and West and the laws of Henry I (circa 1115) describe Cornwall as being divided into seven shires
