Possibly a Shiny Glass Snail (Zonitoides nitidus - Muller, 1774) based on the discription of habitat and distribution found in A Guide to Snails of Britain and Europe Pfleger and Chatfield, ISBN 0600557898. It seems to be the most common Glass Snail found in woods in souther England.

Oxychilus alliarius, determined 04 June 2011 by Francisco Welter-Schultes. Z. nitidus would have a black animal. O. cellarius would be larger at 3.25 whorls.
