English: Sheet music cover for "Friend Highball" lyrics and music by William J. McKenna, 1915. Store Web page states: "The sheet music in this auction, which was published in 1915 by the New York firm of Jerome H. Remick & Co., is titled "Friend Highball". The words and music were written by William J. McKenna. William J. McKenna (1881-1950) was a New Jersey born composer, author and director. Besides appearing in minstrel shows and vaudeville, he also wrote and directed radio programs and had music related articles in newspapers and magazines. As far as his composing skills were concerned, he created music for productions as varied as operettas and musical comedy as well as popular songs like 'Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly?', 'My Broken Rosary' and 'Curly Head' [...] [Lyrics include the lines:] "I bless the day I met you, How can I ever forget you? You've been a pal, a true one, I'll never want for a new one.' [...] The cover art is signed Starmer. The Starmer Brothers (William A. Starmer and Fredrick S. Starmer) were among the most prolific sheet music cover artists of the period. [...] measures about 10-5/8 by 13-1/2 inches."
