Summary

Description
English: Seven Deadly Sins, near to Pangbourne, Oxfordshire, Great Britain.

This is one of seven Gothic-style houses built in 1896 along Shooter's Hill, north of Pangbourne, and known as the "Seven Deadly Sins". They have fine views over the River Thames behind us, but are squeezed between a chalk cliff and the A329. They are spread out along the road, this is the fourth and the first can be seen beyond the car, the second and third being hidden by the trees.

There is an apocryphal story that they were built to house seven lady friends of the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII).
