Protogoniomorpha anacardii nebulosa Trimen, 1881
Clouded mother-of-pearl, female of the dry-season form, f. trimeni. Brownish females like the one illustrated are found at the southern extremity of the species range, like the Wild Coast of South Africa. Northwards, the brownish upper wing of females of the same form and subspecies would be the usual white. The wet-season form is f. lurida.
