Description
English: In the second phase of the fights from 17 July, Artúr Görgei defends the bridge from the North Western end of Vác against the 28 000 soldiers of the III. corps, helping with this to the I., the VII corps and the carriages of the civilians to retreat, then the III. corps and the detachemnt of Ármin Görgei took a defensive position at Kis Hermán mountain, holding against the enemy attacks until the Hungarian troops arrived to Rétság, where they took another defensive position, making the Russians to retreat and to end the battle.
