Description
English: Sculpture of Brian Merriman, Ennistymon The sculpture is outside St Andrew's Church, which is now a cultural centre, a "House of Music". Brian Merriman, 1747-1805, was an Irish language poet and teacher. His single surviving work of substance is regarded as the greatest comic poem in the history of Irish literature. He was born in Ennistymon.
