Summary

Description
English: Scotch marine boiler at the Bristol Industrial Museum.

This is the end of the boiler opposite the two furnaces. Inside the boiler are two combustion chambers that link the furnace to the return tubes above. The combustion chambers cannot be seen, but their double walls are supported by the many bolted stays visible in the end plate and the sides of the boiler.

The larger stays above are longitudinal stays that run the whole length of the boiler.

Approx 9' diameter.
