English: Cover of the November 1929 issue of Hugo Gernsback's pulp science fiction magazine Science Wonder Stories, drawn by notable pulp cover artist Frank R. Paul. This is claimed to be one of the first depictions of a "flying saucer", although earlier covers (since 1912) with depictions of such flying saucers can be found (http://culturevisuelle.org/dejavu/1377).

[1] Search of the Renewals for Periodicals for 1956, 1957, and 1958 show no renewal entries for Science Wonder Stories. Therefore the copyright was not renewed and it is in the public domain.
