Afrikaans: Oopgespronge peule van 'n Huilboerboon. Die kleppe het losgegaan wat rye ligbruin sade blootstel, wat steeds aan hul plasentas geheg is. Elke saad het 'n doppievormige, geel aril aan die basis, wat aanvanklik redelik hard is. Die sade self is na bewering eetbaar as dit gerooster word.
English: Dehisced seed pods of a Weeping boer-bean. The valves have opened, revealing rows of pale brown seeds still attached to their placentas. Each seed has a yellow, basal, cup-shaped aril, which is initially fairly hard. The seeds themselves are said to be edible when roasted. |
