The original homestead was built in 1853 in the Georgian style, the Victorian filigree lace and balcony was added later in the early 1900's by the mayor of the time. Since then, it has had an eccentric and chequered past, often standing derelict and abandoned. The property was purchased in 2003 and a major renovation (by the owners themselves) took place to build it into a small country hotel. This lovely Swellendam Monument 9/2/092/0031 has been instilled with love, passion and attention to detail and now offers luxury accommodation in Swellendam, South Africa.
