Summary

Description
English: 1904 political cartoon by Bob Satterfield. Uncle Sam (wearing a policeman's helmet, uniform, and badge, and holding a billy-club) watches as the personification of Santo Domingo (a barefoot stereotypical "darkey" caricature, wielding a sword and a pistol) revolves his arms and legs -- that is, undergoes a revolution. A pair of boots is to the bottom left of "San Domingo", possibly representing a corpse of someone killed in the revolution. To bottom right, Satterfield's bear mascot cries "Police!".

Original caption:

REVOLUTION NUMBER SIXTY-SEVEN IS NOW IN PROGRESS IN SAN DOMINGO, AND UNCLE SAM IS, AS USUAL KEEPING AN EYE ON "AMERICAN INTERESTS".
