English: On Saturday, February 24, 2024, Twin Peaks fans gathered at the "Welcome to Twin Peaks" sign spot on Reinig Road in Snoqualmie, Washington for the reading of an official proclamation for "Twin Peaks Day."
Shortly before 11:30 a.m., Kelly Coughlin, Executive Director of the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce, welcomed King County District 3 Councilmember Sarah Perry who discussed the official "Twin Peaks Day" proclamation for King County. This was the first time the county recognized the day that Special Agent Dale Cooper arrived in the fictional town of Twin Peaks. North Bend Mayor Mary Miller followed Councilmember Perry by reading the official proclamation for the town of North Bend. The proclamations for North Bend, Snoqualmie, Carnation and King County were drafted by Karl Reinsch. At 11:30, fans were treated to a special surprise as Kyle MacLachlan drove past the sign spot, recreating a scene captured 35 years ago when filming took place in Snoqualmie Valley between February-March 1989.
