English: Historic Building Survey plaque: "28 San Diego Hardware, 1910. Prior to 1923, this building served as a dance hall and a Woolworth store. Today, the structure retains its original wood floors and the rounded store front windows which are the remaining trademark of the Woolworth Company. the tin ceilings are original and are the only remaining metal ceilings in the district; the others were donated to the early war effort as scrap metal. In 1892, San Diego Hardware was established in the district and moved to this site in 1922."
