English: Samuel Price ( July 28, 1805 - February 25, 1884) was a United States Senator from West Virginia. Born in Fauquier County, he moved with his parents to Preston County (now in West Virginia) in 1815. He received a preparatory training, studied law, and was admitted to the bar in 1832, commencing the practice of his profession in Nicholas and Braxton Counties. He was county clerk of Nicholas County 1830 and prosecuting attorney in 1833. He was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1834 to 1836, and moved to moved to Wheeling, Virginia (now West Virginia) in 1836 and to Lewisburg, Virginia (now West Virginia) in 1838. He was prosecuting attorney for Braxton County from 1836 to 1850 and a member of the House of Delegates from 1847 to 1850 and in 1852.
