Description
English: This portrait of Cousins is from “Artists at Home: Photographed by J. P. Mayall, and Reproduced in Facsimile by Photo-engraving on Copper Plates,” published in London by Sampson Low, Marston, Searle and Rivington in 1884. This portrait depicts Cousins in his sitting room with his framed work hung on the wall. Among his prints visible in the image are "The Calling of Samuel" after James Sant, "Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI in the Prison Temple" after Edward Matthew Ward and "A Mother and Child " after Charles Robert Leslie (Artists at Home, p. 21).
