Benannt ist die Sammlung nach dem Kunsthistoriker und Arzt Hans Prinzhorn, der in den Jahren 1919 bis 1921 als Assistent der Heidelberger Psychiatrischen Universitätsklinik die psychiatrischen Anstalten des In- und Auslands um bildnerische Werke von Patienten bat. Die Sammlung umfasst ca. 5.000 Werke. |
