Summary

Description
English: A Safe Return, a heroic memorial in bronze at Zuanich Park in Bellingham, WA, honoring commercial fishermen who died pursuing their profession. It was created by Eugene F. Fairbanks and dedicated in May 1999. At the four sides of the granite pedestal are sculptured reliefs: the east relief represents Native American fishers; the north relief depicts a purse seiner harvesting a catch; the west relief is a scene in the pilot house; the south relief depicts the Squalicum boat basin with representative fishing vessels.
