Summary

Description
English: Carl Sachs sections and anatomy of electric eel, published posthumously by Emil du Bois-Reymond in 1881. The figures show the anatomy of the fish, with the back muscles at the top, the main and Hunter's electric organs, and what is now called Sachs's organ. The long fin that runs most of the length of the fish is at the bottom.
