DescriptionSS Stephen and Martin - geograph.org.uk - 708560.jpg
English: SS Stephen and Martin Stained glass in Little St Mary's church by F.C. Eden, installed in 1936 in memory of Edwin Charles Ogle (26.12.1860-23.12.1934). "For 22 years warden of this church, the gift of his children, the congregation and those who worked for him."
Stephen, the first Christian martyr, is dressed as a deacon, holding the stones with which he was executed and the symbolic palm frond of martyrdom; the scroll shows his final words "Domine Jesu suscipe spiritum meum, ne statuas illis hoc peccatum" (Lord Jesus, receive my spirit and lay not this sin to their charge - Acts 7.59).
Martin, Bishop of Tours, is shown as a Roman soldier about to divide his cloak with a beggar.
