English: The Perseus was a steel screw steamship of 6,725 tons and was owned by the Ocean Steamship Company, Ltd. and managed by A. Hold & Co. She was built in 1908. Her port of registry was Liverpool. On February 21, 1917, she struck a mine and sank in the Indian Ocean, 11 nautical miles (20 km) west of Colombo, Ceylon with the loss of three of her crew.[ |
