English: SMU Campus Green also now features the addition of a new piece of sculpture, “97.5° Arc x 8” by artist Bernar Venet. This is the second donation of an art piece by Dato’ Kho Hui Meng, the President of Oil Trading at Vitol Asia Pte Ltd. Dato’ Kho previously donated a piece of sculpture titled “Sitting on History” by Bill Woodrow in February 2014. The presence of both sculptures is an appropriate reminder of the university’s proximity to two museums beside Campus Green. The sculpture’s title is a direct reference to its mathematical composition. Its curved steel material is an indication of balance and resilience, and its form also mirrors those of the amphitheatre and the new Campus Green jogging track.
