Ships in the background include: at left, a three-masted battleship (KAISER or DEUTSCHLAND); center to right, 3 SACHSEN Class battleships (SACHSEN, BAYERN, WURTTEMBERG or BADEN) and, just behind BLITZ's mainmast, the battleship OLDENBURG (1884-1919) that was completed in April 1886. This photo was made prior to 1895. |
