Summary

Description
English: The Projectile Spectator Detector (PSD) is the forward hadron compensating lead/scintillator calorimeter. It will be used in fixed target experiments to measure the event centrality and reaction plane orientation in heavy-ion collisions, for instance, in NA61/SHINE at CERN and in the Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment at the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research (FAIR) in Germany which aim is to explore the QCD phase diagram in the region of high baryon densities.
