According to the copyright law in effect in Indonesia at the time of the URAA, copyright on this image expired on 1 January 2001 (25 years after publication). As the new copyright law was enacted in 2014, after the URAA, copyright was not extended in the United States.
Copyright for works of: photographic works; portraits; motion pictures; video games; computer programmes; typholographical arrangement of written works; translations, interpretations, alterations, anthologies, databases, adaptations, arrangements, modifications and other work resulting from transformation; translations, adaptations, arrangements, transformations or modifications of traditional cultural expressions; compilation of works or data, either in a machine-readable format or other media, and; compilation of traditional cultural expressions insofar as the compilation is an original work, was expired because it was published more than 50 years ago (Art. 59(1)).
Copyright protection for applied arts was expired because it was published more than 25 years ago (Art. 59(2)).
This non-U.S. work was published 1929 or later, but is in the public domain in the United States because either
it was simultaneously published (within 30 days) in the U.S. and in its source country and is in the public domain in the U.S. as a U.S. work (no copyright registered, or not renewed),
or
it was first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days) and
it was first published before 1978 without complying with U.S. copyright formalities or after 1978 without copyright notice and
it was in the public domain in its home country on the URAA date ( January 1, 1996 for most countries).
This work may still be copyrighted in other countries.
